Desert Storm Memorial

The primary 2016 16th Infantry Regiment Association memorial project commemorates the 16th Infantry Regiment’s participation in the First Gulf War. The Operation DESERT STORM plaque was dedicated on 25 February 2016 at the 1st Battalion’s Headquarters at Fort Riley, Kansas. The intent was to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th Battalions’ participation in that conflict. Images of the plaque dedication ceremonies are provided below. This fitting tribute to our DESRT STORM-era Rangers was made a reality by the donations of all of our members. Semper Paratus!
